5 famous inventions of designer Salvatore Ferragamo

Salvatore Ferragamo is an Italian shoe designer. In the 1920s the Hollywood fell in love with his shoes and a little later, the whole world. Despite the fact that in his youth the designer saw that shoes can be sewn by machines, he found himself in individual tailoring, and among his clients were Ava Gardner, Audrey Hepburn and Marilyn Monroe. 

The invention of a high metal stud brought him universal recognition, which was inspired by Marilyn Monroe. Salvatore was very fond of experiments, and at one time he came up with a square heel, as well as a wedge-shaped. 

Especially to create comfortable shoes, the designer studied anatomy, mathematics and engineering. In total, Ferragamo has 300 patents.
